In 1968 Karl orchestrated a deal that merged Eller Outdoor Advertising with KTAR Radio and Television stations (local NBC affiliate, Channel 12). The name of the new company would become Combined Communications. Mr. Eller served as President and CEO. He would build CCC into one of the largest and most profitable media companies in the USA. In 1979, he merged Combined Communications with Gannett and served in the office of Chief Executive, resigning in June of 1980.
